A Foodie’s Guide to Creemore Ontario

Creemore is a lovely town full of cute shops, artisans and, in spite of its small size, an impressive number of restaurants and foodie finds. Just walking down the main street transports you to a different time, with welcoming independent business owners who can’t wait to share their unique wares with you, including many delicious and creative culinary offerings. The name Creemore is derived from “cri mor” in Gaelic which means “big heart” and just one visit will have you feeling the heart of this lovely community.


The Bank Cafe


The Bank Cafe is a Creemore staple, serving beverages, baked goods and grab and go meals. They are best known for their carrot cake but My other go-tos are their donuts and their Thai Noodle salad which are pretty amazing as well. It’s a great spot to grab a quick bite on the go.



Creemore Bakery


Creemore Bakery sells a lovely variety of beverages as well as baked goods with options for lots of different dietary requirements. With a cute ambiance and outdoor seating in the warmer months, there’s really something for everyone at this cute Bakery/Café. They also have a quaint dining area and back patio to enjoy your purchases.



Good Grief Coffee Roasters


Good Grief Coffee offers an inviting spot for coffee lovers and locals alike. This café serves up meticulously brewed coffee. Whether you’re stopping in for a rich espresso or a silky latte, the laid-back vibe and friendly staff make it a welcoming retreat. 



Chez Michel


Chez Michel is Creemore’s resident French bistro that will make you feel like you’re dining along the French Riviera but without the jet lag! Be sure to try the house-made ice cream for dessert!



YF Patissier Chocolatier


A newer business in Creemore, YF Patissier Chocolatier serves the most beautiful high-end baked goods and gourmet house made chocolates. No trip to Creemore is complete without a visit!



Mother Butter


If you’re a shortbread lover, be sure to place an order at Mother Butter, Creemore’s resident shortbread goddess! She is a home-based baker but you can also find her cookies at the 100 mile store or the Farmers' market…if they’re not sold out because they’re so amazing!



Gin in the Kitchen


Another home baker, Gin in the Kitchen makes a bit of everything, and does it all well, but is well known for her decadent cakes that you can often find at Chez Michel, the Creemore farmers market on select Saturday mornings, or you can order ahead to bring home for dessert or a special occasion.



The Mill House Pub


The Mill House Pub is another Creemore staple, with tasty pub food and a bit of something for everyone on the menu. They also have a cute patio that’s worth visiting in the summer.



100 Mile Store


The 100 Mile Store an independent grocer offering local and specialty products. You should see how much goodness is packed into this tiny store! It’s a definite must-visit for any foodie.



Creemore Springs Brewery


No trip to Creemore is complete without a visit to the Creemore Springs Brewery. They offer tours as well as generous samples. If you’re there in October, be sure to check out what they have on the go for Oktoberfest, it’s always a blast!



The Gorgeous Spice Co


I love my monthly deliveries from local Creemore business, The Gorgeous Spice Co. Be sure to check out their website to explore their unique blends, high quality spices and awesome recipes! Although they don’t have a storefront, this small Creemore business ships which is a win no matter where you live!



Purple Hill Lavender


Another Creemore gem is Purple Hill Lavender. It's a gorgeous spot to spend a bit of time picnicking and taking a few photos. Don't forget to visit their store to pick up items like culinary lavender, shortbread, lavender honey and more. Be sure to visit their website to reserve ahead during the summer months. Creemore Farmers’ and Craft Market


If you’re visiting Creemore on a Saturday in the summer, be sure to visit the Creemore Farmers and Craft Market. It runs outdoors from May to October at Station on the Green and takes place from 9am-1pm. It’s a great spot to browse and pick up some locally made and grown foods.



The Pine


The Pine is a quaint restaurant that was recently named #40 in Canada’s Top 100. They utilize locally sourced produce that reflects seasonal availability. The menu is highly influenced by Asian cuisine and culture based on the proprietor’s travel and work experiences overseas and you can tell with one look at the presentation and one taste of the food that each dish is created with the utmost care. The result is an multi course prix fixe immersive dining experience which is so much more than just a meal out at a restaurant.

Chin Chin 


This local gem of a bottle shop has quickly become a favourite for both locals and visitors. Check out Chin Chin’s expertly curated selection of bottles from some of the best wine regions in the world. Whether you’re a fan of robust reds, crisp whites, or delightful rosés, there’s something here to please every palate. The shop’s knowledgeable staff are always on hand to offer recommendations, ensuring that you find the perfect wine for any occasion. Keep an eye out for events like wine tastings that they host regularly. 



The Flying Squirrel Motorcycle Co.


Motorcycle enthusiasts, this one’s for you! The Flying Squirrel Motorcycle Co. is a recent addition to Creemore who boast a cafe for those touring through the area.  They also serve a selection of food, but if you’re coming with a group give them a call to give them a heads up so they can be prepared for your visit.
